Strengthening

6 ingredients

Ceramide AP

Ceramide AP

One of the three ceramide species in our complex. Works alongside NP and EOP to rebuild the lipid matrix the skin uses to retain moisture and resist irritation.

Ceramide EOP

Ceramide EOP

StrengtheningReplenishingMoisturizer

Long-chain ceramide critical for the structural integrity of the skin barrier. Particularly meaningful in eczema-prone skin, where this species is often deficient.

Ceramide NP

Cholesterol

Cholesterol

StrengtheningReplenishingMoisturizer

A natural skin lipid that pairs with ceramides and fatty acids in the proportions skin actually uses. Without cholesterol, ceramides cannot form the lamellar structure barriers depend on.

Safflower Oleosomes

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes

What We Don't Use

The list of exclusions matters too.

Some of the most common ingredients in children's skincare are also among the most likely to provoke reactivity in compromised barriers. We chose to leave them out.

Fragrance

A leading cause of contact dermatitis in children. We don't use synthetic or natural fragrance, including masking fragrance.

Essential Oils

Even botanically derived, essential oils are common triggers in eczema-prone skin. The risk outweighed the benefit.

Synthetic Dyes

Color contributes nothing to the work the formula does. We left it out.

Parabens

We use modern, gentle preservation systems instead. Effective, well-tolerated, and aligned with current safety research.

Sulfates

Harsh surfactants that strip the skin's natural lipids. Counterproductive in any barrier-supporting formulation.

Drying Alcohols

Denatured, ethyl, and isopropyl alcohols compromise the very barrier we're trying to strengthen. Not in any of our formulas.
